Historical Figures
Parent Company
Hong Kong-based Birmingham International Holdings (later renamed ZO Future Group) owned Birmingham City for over a decade. The tenure was marked by boardroom instability, legal disputes involving former chairman Carson Yeung, chronic underinvestment, and the club's relegation from the Premier League in 2011 and eventual drop to League One in 2024. Their remaining 51% stake was purchased by Knighthead in November 2025.
Co-Owners
Businessmen David Sullivan and David Gold rescued Birmingham City from financial peril in 1993 and oversaw the club's return to the Premier League in 2002 after a 16-year absence. They sold the club to Carson Yeung's consortium in 2009 before moving on to purchase West Ham United.
