Bristol City Football Club
A proud West Country club backed by the Lansdown family's sustained investment, Bristol City have established themselves as Championship regulars at their redeveloped Ashton Gate home, reaching the play-offs in 2024-25 for the first time in 17 years and harbouring genuine ambitions of reaching the Premier League.
Current Leadership
Owner & Chairman
Billionaire Steve Lansdown, co-founder of financial services firm Hargreaves Lansdown, purchased Bristol City in 2007. He has invested significantly in both the playing squad and infrastructure, funding the redevelopment of Ashton Gate into a modern 27,000-seat stadium. The Lansdown family also owns Bristol Bears rugby club and Bristol Flyers basketball, creating a multi-sport operation in the city.
Vice Chairman
Jon Lansdown, Steve's son, has taken an increasingly prominent role in the day-to-day running of Bristol City, serving as vice chairman and representing the family's long-term commitment to the club.
