Charlton Athletic Football Club
A proud south-east London institution that thrived in the Premier League under Alan Curbishley before a catastrophic ownership era threatened to destroy the club, the Addicks' story is one of fan power, community resilience, and the long road back.
Current Leadership
Owners
Global Football Partners (GFP) acquired Charlton Athletic via its UK subsidiary SE7 Partners, bringing American-led investment to the club after years of controversial ownership under Roland Duchatelet. The seven primary shareholders include Gabriel Brener, Joshua Friedman (co-founder of Canyon Partners hedge fund), Warren Rosenfeld, ACA Football Partners, Munir Javeri, Marc Boyan, and Charlie Methven, who serves as CEO. Under GFP's stewardship, Charlton won promotion to the Championship via the 2025 play-offs.
