Historical Figures
Former Owners
The Pompey Supporters' Trust rescued the club from administration in 2013, making Portsmouth the largest fan-owned club in English football history. The Trust stabilised the finances, rebuilt the club's infrastructure, and oversaw promotion from League Two before selling to Michael Eisner's Tornante Company in 2017. Their ownership remains a landmark moment in English football governance.
Former Owner
Franco-Israeli businessman Sacha Gaydamak bankrolled Portsmouth's most successful modern era, funding the signings that helped win the 2008 FA Cup. However, his spending was unsustainable and he sold the club amid mounting debts, setting in motion the financial collapse that would see Pompey enter administration twice.
