Lincoln City Football Club
Current Leadership
Chairman
Ron Fowler, the former co-owner of Major League Baseball's San Diego Padres, took a controlling stake in Lincoln City and became chairman in February 2026, replacing Clive Nates. Fowler's investment represents a shift towards American ownership of the club. He is part of a broader ownership structure within Lincoln City Holdings Ltd.
Co-Vice Chairman
Clive Nates joined the Lincoln City board in 2016 and served as chairman from 2018 to 2026, overseeing the club's remarkable rise from the National League to an established League One club. A qualified chartered accountant with a background in asset management, Nates presided over the Danny Cowley era, the League Two title, and the development of the LNER Stadium. He stepped aside as chairman in February 2026 but remains as co-vice chairman.
