MacKenzie Gore, acquired from the Nationals in a prospect-laden trade, gives the Rangers a young left-hander with ace upside. Gore's talent has never been in question, only his consistency, and a change of scenery to a winning organization could be the catalyst he needs.
Corey Seager remains the engine that drives the Rangers' offense, and his bat is the reason Texas can still envision itself as a contender. If the pitching comes together around him, the Rangers have a realistic path back to October after a one-year absence.
