Colorado Rapids
Perched a mile above sea level where the Rockies meet the Great Plains, the Colorado Rapids are MLS's altitude warriors - a charter franchise that claimed a championship against the odds and continues to grind out results in the thin air that visiting teams learn to fear.
Current Leadership
Owner
Stan Kroenke, billionaire founder of Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, has owned the Colorado Rapids since 2004. His sports empire also includes the NFL's Los Angeles Rams, the NBA's Denver Nuggets, the NHL's Colorado Avalanche, and Arsenal F.C. of the English Premier League. Under his ownership the Rapids won the 2010 MLS Cup.
Operating Entity
Kroenke Sports & Entertainment operates the Rapids alongside the Nuggets, Avalanche, and other properties. KSE manages Dick's Sporting Goods Park and oversees all club operations.
