Co-Chairman & CEO
Jason Levien, a sports attorney and former agent, co-leads the D.C. United ownership group alongside Steve Kaplan. Levien oversees the club's day-to-day operations and was instrumental in the development of Audi Field, which opened in 2018 as one of the premier soccer-specific stadiums in the United States.

Steve Kaplan, co-founder of the private equity firm Oaktree Capital Management's sports division, partnered with Jason Levien to purchase D.C. United in 2012. The duo also holds ownership stakes in Swansea City of the English Football League.

Historical Figures
Former Majority Owner
William Chang, a Singaporean-American businessman, served as D.C. United's majority owner during a period that included early success but eventually saw the club struggle on the field and at the gate. He sold the club to the Levien-Kaplan group in 2012.
