Owner & Chairman
Bill McGuire, former CEO of UnitedHealth Group, purchased Minnesota United (then in the NASL) in 2012 and led the franchise into MLS in 2017. He oversaw construction of Allianz Field in Saint Paul, which opened in 2019 and is regarded as one of the finest soccer-specific stadiums in the league.
Ownership Group
The McGuire family's investment group includes several prominent Minnesota business leaders who have supported the club's growth from the NASL through its establishment in MLS. The group has invested heavily in the club's academy and first-team roster.

Historical Figures
Former NASL Owner
Nick Rogers, a Minneapolis attorney, was part of the founding ownership group of the NASL-era Minnesota Stars (later NSC Minnesota Stars). He helped establish professional soccer in the Twin Cities before selling the club to Bill McGuire.
