Owner & CEO
Jay Sugarman, founder and CEO of iStar Financial, has owned the Philadelphia Union since the club's founding in 2008. He oversaw the construction of Subaru Park (originally PPL Park) in Chester, Pennsylvania, which opened in 2010. Under Sugarman's leadership the Union won the 2020 Supporters' Shield and have developed one of the top youth academies in MLS.

Former CEO & Operating Partner
Nick Sakiewicz served as the Union's founding CEO and was instrumental in building the franchise from the ground up, including securing the stadium site in Chester. He departed the organization in 2015 amid a period of transition.
