David Blitzer, a co-founder of Blackstone's tactical opportunities group and a prominent multi-sport owner, purchased a controlling stake in Real Salt Lake in 2023. Blitzer's portfolio includes stakes in the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers, the NHL's New Jersey Devils, and several European soccer clubs.

Ryan Smith, founder of Qualtrics and owner of the NBA's Utah Jazz, joined the RSL ownership group in 2021 and helped stabilize the franchise during a turbulent transition period. His tech-industry connections have boosted the club's business operations and community engagement in Utah.

Former Owner
Dell Loy Hansen, a Utah real estate developer, owned Real Salt Lake from 2013 to 2021. He invested in training facilities and the Rio Tinto Stadium but was forced to sell the club after workplace misconduct allegations surfaced in 2020.
