Owner & Chairman
Adrian Hanauer, a Seattle venture capitalist and longtime soccer advocate, has been the driving force behind the Sounders since purchasing the USL franchise in 2002 and leading it into MLS in 2009. Under his stewardship the Sounders have won two MLS Cups (2016, 2019) and the 2022 Concacaf Champions League, becoming the first MLS team to win that continental title.
Minority Owner
Russell Wilson, the NFL quarterback and former Seattle Seahawk, joined the Sounders' ownership group in 2019. His involvement has raised the club's national profile and strengthened ties between the Sounders and the broader Seattle sports community.

Historical Figures
Former Majority Owner
Joe Roth, a Hollywood film producer and former chairman of Walt Disney Studios, was the majority owner of the Sounders during the club's entry into MLS and its formative years. Roth's investment and profile helped establish the Sounders as one of MLS's flagship franchises. He sold his majority stake in 2019.
