The Bucks entered this season with title-or-bust expectations behind Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, and the pressure has only intensified. Milwaukee has been inconsistent, oscillating between looking like a juggernaut and a deeply flawed team. Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to be one of the most dominant players in basketball, averaging near a 30-point triple-double on any given night. His combination of size, speed, and skill is unlike anything the game has ever seen. The only question is whether Milwaukee can surround him with enough to get back to the mountaintop.
Milwaukee's defense has been a significant step back from their championship-caliber unit of a few years ago. The loss of key defensive personnel and an aging roster have left the Bucks vulnerable, particularly on the perimeter. If they can't shore up the defense in time for the playoffs, their star power alone may not be enough to survive the East's best.
