Cincinnati Bengals
Current Leadership
President & Owner
Mike Brown, the son of franchise founder Paul Brown, has served as president and de facto owner of the Cincinnati Bengals since his father's death in 1991. Brown has been one of the most polarizing figures in the NFL — praised for his football knowledge and commitment to the franchise, but criticized for operating the Bengals as one of the league's most frugally run organizations. Under his leadership, the Bengals reached Super Bowl LVI in 2022, their first championship appearance in 33 years.
Executive Vice President
Troy Blackburn, Mike Brown's son-in-law, serves as executive vice president of the Bengals and is widely expected to be part of the next generation of family leadership. Blackburn oversees many of the team's business operations and has been involved in key organizational decisions.
Executive Vice President
Katie Blackburn, Mike Brown's daughter, serves as executive vice president of the Bengals and has played an increasingly prominent role in team operations. She has been mentioned as a potential future owner and has been involved in salary cap management and contract negotiations.

Historical Figures
Founder & Original Owner
Paul Brown founded the Cincinnati Bengals in 1968 after being fired as head coach of the Cleveland Browns in 1963. One of the most important figures in football history, Brown had previously founded the Browns and won seven championships between the AAFC and NFL. He coached the Bengals through their first eight seasons and built the organizational infrastructure that sustained the franchise. Brown passed away on August 5, 1991, at age 82.
