Stan Kroenke, a Missouri-born real estate and sports mogul married into the Walmart fortune, became the Rams' majority owner in 2010 and orchestrated the franchise's controversial return to Los Angeles in 2016. Kroenke privately financed the construction of SoFi Stadium — the most expensive sports venue ever built at approximately $5 billion — and oversaw the roster-building strategy that produced the Super Bowl LVI championship in 2022. His sports empire also includes Arsenal F.C., the Denver Nuggets, the Colorado Avalanche, and the Colorado Rapids.

Historical Figures
Owner & Chairman
Georgia Frontiere inherited the Rams after her husband Carroll Rosenbloom drowned in 1979, becoming one of the first female majority owners in NFL history. Her tenure included the move from Anaheim to St. Louis in 1995, the Greatest Show on Turf era, and the Super Bowl XXXIV championship in 1999. Frontiere was a flamboyant and sometimes controversial figure who was deeply involved in team operations. She passed away in 2008.
Owner
Carroll Rosenbloom, who had previously owned the Baltimore Colts, swapped franchises with Rams owner Robert Irsay in an unprecedented 1972 deal. Rosenbloom brought a winning pedigree to the Rams and oversaw the franchise's move from the Coliseum to Anaheim Stadium. He drowned in April 1979 under mysterious circumstances, and ownership passed to his wife Georgia Frontiere.
Owner
Dan Reeves purchased the Rams in 1941 and was the visionary who moved the franchise from Cleveland to Los Angeles in 1946 — the first NFL team on the West Coast. Reeves was an innovator who embraced television, introduced the helmet logo, and oversaw the integration of the NFL when the Rams signed Kenny Washington and Woody Strode. His bold decisions helped transform the NFL from a regional curiosity into a national phenomenon. He sold the franchise to Robert Irsay in 1971.
