Amy Adams Strunk, the daughter of franchise founder Bud Adams, became the controlling owner of the Tennessee Titans in 2015 after a brief period of family governance following her father's death. She has overseen significant investments in the franchise and the Nashville community, including plans for a new enclosed stadium. Under her leadership, the Titans have maintained their identity as one of the NFL's most physical teams.

Bud Adams

Founder & Owner

1960–2013

K.S. 'Bud' Adams Jr. was a founding father of the American Football League and the original owner of the Houston Oilers. An oil industry titan, Adams was instrumental in the creation of the AFL and the eventual merger with the NFL. He controversially relocated the franchise from Houston to Tennessee in 1997 and renamed the team the Titans in 1999. Adams owned the franchise for 53 years until his death on October 21, 2013, at the age of 90.
