Stan Kroenke, founder of Kroenke Sports & Entertainment and one of the wealthiest sports owners in the world, has owned the Colorado Avalanche since 2000. His vast sports empire includes the NFL's Los Angeles Rams, the NBA's Denver Nuggets, the MLS's Colorado Rapids, and Arsenal F.C. of the English Premier League. Under his ownership the Avalanche won the 2022 Stanley Cup, their first championship since 2001.
President & Governor, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment
Josh Kroenke, Stan's son, serves as president and governor of Kroenke Sports & Entertainment and plays an active role in the management of the Avalanche. He has been the public face of the family's Colorado sports operations and was instrumental in the 2022 championship run.

Former Owner
COMSAT Corporation, through its Ascent Entertainment subsidiary, brought the Quebec Nordiques to Denver in 1995, rebranding them as the Colorado Avalanche. The team won the Stanley Cup in their very first season in Colorado. Financial difficulties at the parent company level led to the sale to Kroenke in 2000.
