Historical Figures
Former Owner
The Edmonton Investors Group was a community-based ownership consortium formed in 1998 to prevent the Oilers from relocating. Led by local businessmen, the group kept the team in Edmonton during a financially precarious era for small-market Canadian franchises before selling to Katz in 2008.
