Bay Area Bay FC
Now entering their third NWSL season, Bay FC are moving past expansion-team growing pains and leveraging the San Francisco Bay Area's deep soccer roots and tech-industry resources to build a club with staying power.
Current Leadership
Lead Investor & Control Owner
Sixth Street, a global investment firm with over $100 billion in assets under management, serves as Bay FC's control owner and lead investor. The firm's investment was the largest institutional investment in a women's professional sports franchise at the time. Sixth Street CEO Alan Waxman serves as co-chairperson of the club and has since launched the Bay Collective, a multi-club organization expanding investment in women's soccer globally.
Co-Founder & Co-Chairperson
Former USWNT midfielder Aly Wagner co-founded Bay FC alongside three fellow national team legends and serves as co-chairperson. Wagner earned 131 caps for the United States and brings deep soccer expertise to the club's leadership.
Co-Founder
World Cup and Olympic champion Brandi Chastain, one of the most iconic figures in U.S. women's soccer history, co-founded Bay FC. Her connection to the Bay Area soccer community was instrumental in bringing an NWSL franchise to San Francisco.
Co-Founder & President
Former USWNT midfielder Leslie Osborne co-founded Bay FC and serves as the club's president. She has led the organization's operations since its inception and played a key role in building the club's identity in the Bay Area.
Co-Founder
Former USWNT defender Danielle Slaton co-founded Bay FC, bringing her experience as a player and broadcaster to the club's leadership group. She has been a prominent voice in the Bay Area soccer community for over a decade.
