Controlling Owner & NWSL Governor
Lisa Bhathal Merage, co-founder and managing partner of Revitate, became the controlling owner of the Portland Thorns in January 2024 through RAJ Sports. She serves as the club's NWSL Governor and has overseen a comprehensive rebuild of the organization following the scandal-ridden Merritt Paulson era.
Co-Owner & NWSL Alternate Governor
Alex Bhathal, co-founder and managing partner of Revitate, co-owns the Portland Thorns with sister Lisa Bhathal Merage through RAJ Sports, which acquired the club for $63 million. Bhathal also serves as co-owner and executive board director of Sacramento Basketball Holdings, which owns the NBA's Sacramento Kings.
