Governor & Owner (via Sounders FC)
Adrian Hanauer, majority owner of MLS's Seattle Sounders FC, serves as Governor of Seattle Reign FC on the NWSL Board of Governors. The Sounders ownership group, in partnership with the Carlyle Group, acquired the Reign in June 2024, uniting the top-flight men's and women's professional soccer teams in Seattle for the first time.
Co-Owner
The Carlyle Group, a global private equity firm, co-invested with the Seattle Sounders FC ownership group to acquire Seattle Reign FC in 2024. Carlyle's Head of Private Credit, Alex Popov, serves as Alternate Governor on the NWSL Board of Governors.
