Matthew Benham, a lifelong Brentford supporter and professional sports gambler, took full ownership of the club in 2012. A mathematics graduate who made his fortune through statistical modelling at his company Smartodds, Benham revolutionised Brentford's operations by applying data analytics to recruitment, tactics, and set-piece strategy. His approach has taken the club from League One to the Premier League and made Brentford a model of smart, sustainable football management. He also owns FC Midtjylland in Denmark.
