Current Leadership
Owners
The Friedkin Group, led by American billionaire Dan Friedkin, completed the acquisition of Everton in late 2024. The group, which also owns AS Roma in Serie A, purchased the club from Farhad Moshiri. The Friedkins inherit a club moving to a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock and are expected to bring financial stability and long-term strategic vision after years of turbulence.

Historical Figures
Majority Shareholder
British-Iranian businessman Farhad Moshiri acquired a 49.9% stake in Everton in 2016, later increasing it to a majority position. His tenure was marked by enormous transfer spending that produced poor returns, chronic managerial instability, and ultimately Premier League charges for breaching financial rules. The Bramley-Moore Dock stadium project was initiated under his ownership before the sale to The Friedkin Group.
Chairman
Theatre impresario Bill Kenwright served as Everton's chairman for over two decades. A devoted lifelong Evertonian, Kenwright kept the club afloat during lean financial years but was criticised for underinvestment. He passed away in October 2023 and is remembered as a passionate custodian of the club during difficult times.
