Jupiter Hammerheads
The Jupiter Hammerheads are the Single-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins, sharing Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium with the Palm Beach Cardinals and developing talent in the Florida sunshine since 1998.
The Jupiter Hammerheads are the Single-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins, playing in the Florida State League at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter, Florida. The franchise traces its roots to the 1965 West Palm Beach Braves and relocated to Jupiter in 1998, adopting the Hammerheads name inspired by the shark species found in nearby Atlantic waters.
After brief affiliations with the Montreal Expos (1998-2001), the Hammerheads joined the Marlins organization in 2002, beginning a partnership that has now spanned over two decades. Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium serves as a baseball hub, hosting not only the Hammerheads but also the Palm Beach Cardinals and the Marlins' and Cardinals' spring training operations, making it one of the busiest facilities in Florida.
The 2023 season delivered the franchise's crowning achievement in Jupiter: a Florida State League championship, the first title since the team moved to Palm Beach County 25 years earlier. The 2021 MiLB reorganization reclassified Jupiter from High-A to Single-A, changing the competitive landscape while preserving the Hammerheads' role as a key development stop.
Under first-year manager Kyle Stahlberg for 2026, the Hammerheads continue to develop Marlins prospects in one of baseball's most player-friendly environments. The combination of year-round warm weather, proximity to the parent club's spring training complex, and a dedicated coaching staff makes Jupiter an ideal setting for young players taking their first steps in professional baseball.
