Ontario Tower Buzzers

Minor League Baseball's newest franchise, the Ontario Tower Buzzers debut in 2026 as the Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, bringing aviation-themed baseball to a brand-new stadium in California's Inland Empire.

The Ontario Tower Buzzers are the Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, playing in the California League at ONT Field in Ontario, California. The franchise is an expansion team debuting in the 2026 season, replacing the Modesto Nuts in the California League structure and bringing Dodgers minor league baseball to the Inland Empire.

The Tower Buzzers' name and branding celebrate Ontario's aviation heritage and its connection to Ontario International Airport. The team name references the iconic "buzz the tower" line from the 1986 film Top Gun, while the primary mascot — a bee in aviator gear named Maverick — combines aviation iconography with family-friendly appeal. The identity was developed in partnership with the community to create something unique in Minor League Baseball.

ONT Field is a 6,000-seat stadium designed by the architecture firm Populous and serves as the anchor tenant of the Ontario Sports Empire, a 199-acre, multi-phase regional sports and entertainment complex being developed by the City of Ontario. The complex features youth diamonds, multipurpose fields, retail, dining, and a hotel village, positioning Ontario as a premier sports destination in Southern California.

Under inaugural manager John Shoemaker, a veteran of the Dodgers organization, the Tower Buzzers open their first-ever home game on April 2, 2026 against the Lake Elsinore Storm. With the Dodgers' deep prospect pipeline and the excitement of a brand-new franchise and ballpark, the Tower Buzzers enter their inaugural season as one of the most anticipated new teams in Minor League Baseball.
