Al-Khaleej FC

Originally founded as Al-Nasr in 1945 and renamed by royal decree, Al-Khaleej represent the Eastern Province city of Saihat with a history stretching back nearly eight decades.

Al-Khaleej FC were founded in 1945 in Saihat, a city in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, originally under the name "Al-Nasr Club." The club was later renamed Al-Khaleej — meaning "The Gulf" — by order of King Faisal, reflecting the club's identity as a representative of the Persian Gulf coastal region.

With nearly eight decades of history, Al-Khaleej have experienced the full range of Saudi football life, from lower-division campaigns to top-flight competition. The club earned promotion to the Saudi Pro League and have competed at the highest level on multiple occasions, though they have spent significant time in the second tier as well.

Greek manager Giorgos Donis leads the club for the 2025-26 season, bringing European tactical expertise to a squad built on local talent and smart recruitment. Al-Khaleej's Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium provides a home in the heart of the Eastern Province's football scene.

The club's yellow and green colors are well known across the Eastern Province, where Al-Khaleej compete for attention with regional rivals Al-Ettifaq and Al-Qadsiah. Their story is one of persistence and regional pride in a league increasingly dominated by the capital and Jeddah.
