Norfolk Tides
The Baltimore Orioles' Triple-A affiliate since 2007, the Norfolk Tides play at Harbor Park on the Elizabeth River waterfront and carry on a professional baseball tradition in the Hampton Roads area that stretches back over six decades.
The Norfolk Tides are the Baltimore Orioles' Triple-A affiliate, playing at Harbor Park on the banks of the Elizabeth River in downtown Norfolk. The franchise has been a pillar of the Hampton Roads sports community since 1961, with professional baseball roots that make it one of the oldest continuously operating teams in the International League.
Harbor Park, which opened in 1993, is owned by the City of Norfolk and provides a scenic waterfront setting for Triple-A baseball. The 12,067-seat facility replaced aging Metropolitan Memorial Park and immediately elevated the fan experience in the region. While the stadium is showing its age compared to newer Triple-A venues, its Elizabeth River views and accessible downtown location remain significant draws.
The Tides have been affiliated with the Orioles since 2007, replacing a 38-year partnership with the New York Mets that lasted from 1969 to 2006. Under the Orioles affiliation, Norfolk has served as the final development stop for players like Adley Rutschman, Gunnar Henderson, and other contributors to Baltimore's resurgence as an American League contender.
Manager Tim Federowicz returns for his second season at the helm in 2026, bringing a relatively fresh perspective after starting his managerial career with Triple-A Tacoma in the Seattle organization. The franchise is currently owned by Diamond Baseball Holdings through Maryland Baseball Holding LLC, which also operates the Bowie Baysox and Frederick Keys in the Orioles' minor league system.
