The Sacramento River Cats are the San Francisco Giants' Triple-A affiliate, playing at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento along the banks of the Sacramento River. Since their founding in 2000, the River Cats have been one of the most consistently well-attended and successful franchises in the Pacific Coast League.
Sutter Health Park, which opened in 2000 as Raley Field, seats 14,014 fans and provides a stunning waterfront setting with views of the Tower Bridge and the Sacramento skyline. The ballpark has won numerous awards for design and fan experience and served as the temporary home of the Oakland Athletics during their transition to their new Las Vegas facility.
Manager Dave Brundage returns for a remarkable 10th season in 2026, the longest managerial tenure in the franchise's history and one of the longest in all of minor league baseball. His entire 2025 coaching staff returns intact, including fundamentals coach Jolbert Cabrera, pitching coach Alain Quijano, and hitting coach P.J. Pilittere.
The River Cats were previously affiliated with the Oakland Athletics (2000-2014) before partnering with the Giants in 2015. Under both affiliations, the franchise has developed notable talent including Barry Zito, Rich Harden, Mark Mulder during the A's years, and more recently Giants prospects through the San Francisco pipeline. The franchise is owned by Diamond Baseball Holdings.
