Local businessman Tony Stewart took ownership of Rotherham United in 2008 during one of the most difficult periods in the club's history. He oversaw the construction of the AESSEAL New York Stadium, which opened in 2012 and transformed the club's infrastructure, and has funded multiple promotions to the Championship. Stewart's commitment to the Millers through good times and bad has earned him widespread respect from supporters.
