Controlling Owners
The Miller family, through Miller Sports + Entertainment, acquired controlling ownership of RSL Football Holdings — including the Utah Royals — from David Blitzer in April 2025. Steve Miller, Chairman of the Larry H. Miller Company Board of Directors, serves as Chairman and Governor for the Utah Royals FC. The deal valued the Royals at $100 million, 50 times their original expansion fee.
Minority Owner
David Blitzer, a global sports investor who also holds stakes in the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers and the Premier League's Crystal Palace, retained just over a 20% stake in the Utah Royals after selling control to the Miller family in 2025. He continues to serve as alternate governor for the MLS side.
