The San Jose Giants are the Single-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, playing in the California League at Excite Ballpark in San Jose, California. Established in 1988, San Jose is the longest-running affiliate in the San Francisco Giants' minor league system, and the franchise has won eight California League championships (1998, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2021, and 2025).

Excite Ballpark — originally built as a WPA project in 1942 — has hosted professional baseball under numerous identities including the San Jose Owls, Red Sox, Missions, and Bees before the Giants arrived in 1988. In March 2025, the team signed a 25-year lease extension with the City of San Jose, securing their presence at the ballpark through 2050.

The franchise has served as a crucial development stop for San Francisco, producing MLB alumni across every era of the affiliation. Under manager Ydwin Villegas, the 2025 team posted a league-best 81-51 record and captured the California League championship — the franchise's eighth title and first since 2021.

Diamond Baseball Holdings acquired the team in December 2021, continuing the franchise's tradition as a pillar of Silicon Valley's sports landscape and affordable family entertainment in the South Bay.
