The Stockton Ports are the Single-A affiliate of the Athletics, playing in the California League at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California. The franchise traces its roots to 1941, when the Stockton Fliers became a charter member of the California League, and adopted the Ports name in 1946 to celebrate Stockton's status as an inland port city.

Banner Island Ballpark opened in 2005 along the Stockton waterfront, replacing the venerable Billy Hebert Field in Oak Park, which had served as the team's home since 1950. The 5,200-seat ballpark brought modern amenities to a franchise with deep California League history and provided a scenic downtown setting along the Stockton Channel.

The Ports have won 11 California League championships spanning every era of the franchise's history (1946, 1947, 1963, 1965, 1969, 1980, 1986, 1990, 1992, 2002, and 2008), making them one of the most decorated franchises in the league. The A's affiliation began in 2005 when the team moved into the new ballpark, and numerous future major leaguers have passed through Stockton on their way to the big leagues.

Recent seasons have been challenging, but the franchise remains a vital development stop in the Athletics' minor league system. Under new manager Darryl Kennedy for 2026, the Ports look to return to the competitive form that has defined their eight-decade history.
