Appointed CEO by the SPL board of directors in January 2024, Mugharbel brought extensive experience from his previous leadership roles at IKEA Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. He oversees the league's commercial strategy, broadcast expansion, and operational modernization as the SPL pursues its ambition to become a top-ten global football league.

Al Lazeez serves as Vice Chairman of the Saudi Pro League board and oversees the Player Acquisition Center of Excellence (PACE), the centralized body that manages and regulates the league's high-profile international transfer activity.

Previously served as President of the Saudi Pro League before moving to lead the SAFF. Al-Misehal has been instrumental in Saudi Arabia's bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup and in the broader professionalization of Saudi football governance.
