Al-Fayha FC

A plucky small-town club from Al Majma'ah, Al-Fayha have transformed from perennial lower-division residents into a Saudi Pro League fixture, punching above their weight with tactical discipline and defensive organization.

Al-Fayha FC represent the small city of Al Majma'ah in the Riyadh Province, a community of around 70,000 people roughly 200 kilometers north of the capital. Founded in 1953, the club spent the vast majority of their history in the lower divisions of Saudi football before earning their first-ever promotion to the Saudi Pro League in 2017.

Since arriving in the top flight, Al-Fayha have defied expectations. The club's defensive discipline — they boasted the best defensive record in the 2021-22 league season — has made them a difficult opponent for even the wealthiest clubs. Their survival in a league increasingly dominated by PIF-backed superclubs is a testament to organizational excellence and tactical coaching.

Under Portuguese manager Pedro Emanuel for the 2025-26 season, Al-Fayha continue to represent the smaller cities of Saudi Arabia on the biggest stage. Emanuel brings extensive Saudi Pro League experience, having previously managed Al Taawoun, Al Nassr, and Al Khaleej, giving him an intimate understanding of the league's dynamics.

Al-Fayha's story is one of patience and persistence — a club that spent decades building in the lower divisions before finally earning their place among the elite.
