Round Rock Express

Named for Texas legend Nolan Ryan and owned by the Hall of Famer's family group, the Round Rock Express are the Texas Rangers' Triple-A affiliate, playing at Dell Diamond in the booming Austin suburb that has become one of the hottest markets in minor league baseball.

The Round Rock Express are the Texas Rangers' Triple-A affiliate, playing at Dell Diamond in one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in America. Founded in 2000 by Ryan Sanders Baseball — a group led by Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan, his sons Reid and Reese, Houston businessman Don Sanders, and his sons — the Express carry the legacy of "The Ryan Express" in both name and spirit.

Dell Diamond, which opened alongside the franchise in 2000, seats 8,012 fans on 85 acres in Round Rock, a booming suburb northeast of Austin. The $25 million facility was a catalyst for the explosive growth of the Round Rock area and has been one of the top-attended venues in the Pacific Coast League. The city of Round Rock owns the ballpark and granted the Express a 38-year lease, cementing the franchise's long-term presence.

The Express began as a Double-A Texas League franchise (2000-2004) before the team relocated to Corpus Christi and the Triple-A Edmonton Trappers moved to Round Rock in 2005, assuming the Express name. The franchise has been affiliated with the Houston Astros (2005-2010), Texas Rangers (2011-2018), Astros again (2019-2020), and the Rangers once more since 2021.

Kyle Moore takes over as the 11th manager in club history for 2026, leading a staff that includes returning hitting coach Matt Lawson and pitching coach Dave Borkowski. The Express' connection to Nolan Ryan gives the franchise a unique identity, and the Austin metro's explosive growth ensures strong fan support for years to come.
